费用

The cost for 30 half-hour lessons for the 2024-25 school year is $1,165. Lessons run throughout the entire school year.
费用 can be paid in full or in monthly installments.

New students should not purchase nor rent an instrument until they have had contact with the private 老师.
学生 that do not attend vwin德赢娱乐 may take lessons through the private lesson program provided that the 老师 has met the needs of current GA students or the lesson is at a time that GA students do not take lessons. At this time, only GA students are able to be added to waitlists.

学生 taking lessons through vwin德赢娱乐’s private lesson instrumental program cannot take private lessons with outside instructors on the same instrument. Our experience is that the conflicting pedagogical approaches that can come with having multiple 老师s makes it hard for our team to manage.

登记

登记 and payment takes place on the ACTIVE Network. A credit card is required and will be charged automatically according to your chosen fee schedule.

返回的学生

The ACTIVE Network registration link is sent via email over the summer to all students who took lessons the previous year. Use this form to sign up for continued studies on the same instrument.

请填写私课兴趣表格, and a 老师 will contact you to confirm lesson availability. If you have already guaranteed a lesson time with a 老师, register on the ACTIVE Network.

缺席和取消政策修订

Music 老师s are required to make up one student excused absence (illness, 家庭紧急情况, last minute rescheduled away game of a GA sport, 或其他个人原因)每学期, and any 老师 absences that may occur throughout the year.

In order for an absence to be considered excused:

疾病: The instructor must be notified by 7am on the day of the illness. The 老师 must be informed by email in addition to informing the school.
个人原因: Notification must be given to the instructor 7 days in advance.
最后一分钟改期的客场比赛 This is defined as it being rescheduled in less than 2 weeks. The instructor must be informed as soon as possible, and at least 24 hours in advance. 如果提前不到24小时, the instructor will not be able to make up or reschedule the lesson.

If a student is sick and is sent home from school, they cannot return to GA for a lesson.

Lessons that fall on days that there is no school will be rescheduled. If GA has a snow day, virtual lessons may be offered. Attendance in an online lesson is the same as attending a lesson in person. If a student does not show up for a scheduled lesson, instructors will not be able to make that lesson up.

If a scheduled make up lesson is missed or cancelled, no further make up lesson will be offered.

运动注意

MS and US students are responsible for letting 老师s know about away games for GA sports. This means the student is required to mark their away game schedule in their planbook as soon as the schedule is available. 客场比赛必须通知老师 提前14天, or your lesson may not be rescheduled，和 lesson will not be made up.

退款政策

If a student does not wish to continue private lessons, notice of withdrawal must be provided within the first two weeks of lessons. A refund will be provided minus any fees for lessons completed.

Most lessons will take place in the Lower Level Lavino Music Studios by the pool/locker rooms. Please enter via the back entrance to the Health and Wellness Center on Patriot Way. If your child is in 1st - 5th grade, they must be picked up/dropped off at the lesson room.

学生 are expected to be present for all lessons on the day/time for which they have confirmed. Any student absences or cancellations for in-person or virtual lessons will not be made up/rescheduled since lessons are 点菜 over the summer.

We offer violin and cello lessons using the Suzuki Method approach in 1st and 2nd grade. 学生 attend lessons once a week and use a traditional approach to learning. No parent/guardian participation is required.

All students in vwin德赢娱乐's band program will experience a play-based approach to melodic and rhythmic literacy. This is true of every instrument group, including percussion. To achieve confidence in music literacy as quickly as possible, GA percussionists develop a "mallet first" foundation in their music reading. 学生 taking percussion will achieve mastery of the 马林巴琴的Rubank初等方法, 槌击法的新探，和 Essential Elements for Band (Percussion Book 1) and then move freely about the percussion section.
